Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Stockless app and website at stockless.app (the “App” and the “Website,” together the “Services”) operated by Stockless LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

1. What Stockless Is

Stockless is an AI-powered portfolio tracking and market commentary tool. It translates market data into plain English using various AI personalities. The Services provide educational and informational content about financial markets.

2. What Stockless Is Not

Stockless is not a brokerage, financial advisor, or trading platform. Nothing in the Services constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other sort of advice. All commentary, analysis, AI-generated content, portfolio health scores, and market signals are for informational and entertainment purposes only.

You should not make investment decisions based solely on information from Stockless. Always do your own research and consult a qualified financial advisor.

3. Account Eligibility

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

3.2 Account Registration

To access the Services’ features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information during registration.
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
• Maintain only one account per person.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Services in any way that violates applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or their systems.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Services.
• Interfere with the performance or infrastructure of the Services.
• Reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the Services.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

5. Brokerage Linking

When you link a brokerage account via SnapTrade, you authorize Stockless to receive read-only access to your holdings (positions, quantities, cost basis). We cannot execute trades, transfer funds, or modify your brokerage account in any way. You can disconnect your brokerage at any time through the App’s settings.

6. Paper Trading

The App includes a simulated trading feature (“Paper Trading”) that uses virtual currency. Paper trading does not involve real money or securities. Simulated results do not reflect actual trading and should not be relied upon as an indicator of real-world performance.

7. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by AI (including briefings, analysis, commentary, and personality-driven responses) is produced by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. AI-generated content does not constitute professional advice of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated content.

Personality commentary is satire. When it mentions real people, companies, or brands, those mentions are jokes, not statements of fact, and do not mean that any of them endorses, sponsors, or is affiliated with Stockless.

8. Third-Party Data Terms

The Services display and analyze data from third-party sources, including the FRED® API operated by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. By using the Services, you agree to be bound by the FRED® API Terms of Use, available at https://fred.stlouisfed.org/docs/api/terms_of_use.html.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

9.1 Free and Paid Features

The App offers both free and premium features. Premium features are available through subscription plans managed via Apple’s App Store.

9.2 Billing

All subscription purchases are processed through Apple’s in-app purchase system. We do not directly collect or store your payment information.

9.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests must be directed to Apple. Deleting your Stockless account does not cancel your subscription.

10. Intellectual Property

The Services and their contents — including text, graphics, logos, software, and code — are owned by Stockless LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information.

12. Account Termination

By You

You may delete your account in the App from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or request deletion by contacting us at privacy@stockless.app. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; see Section 9.3.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these Terms, or negatively impact other users or our infrastructure.

Effect

Upon termination, your license to use the Services immediately ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) shall survive.

13. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STOCKLESS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

• Financial losses from reliance on information provided through the Services.
• Loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
• Damages from unauthorized access to your account.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Stockless LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Services, or any content you submit through the Services.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date and may notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Colorado.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Financial Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Stockless LLC regarding use of the Services.
